Italian Senate Recognizes the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as Genocide of Ukrainians

  1. It still drives me mad that it took ANOTHER genocide by the same country on the same people to finally get this going.

    About fifteen years ago Ukrainians all over the world held a string of events (starting in Canberra, Australia, and then moving on to other capital cities from the Americas to Europe and beyond), trying to have the Holodomor recognised. We were told by almost every country that they weren’t going to do it because they didn’t want to “provoke russia”.

    I’m actually pretty furious with all these countries finally stepping up for Ukrainian recognition when they never had such a problem recognising ethnic cleansing in other countries.
