Yup, tech is boooming in the UK right now. Let’s hope this trend continues. And to anyone considering moving into the field – do it.
Maybe just the cycnic in me, but, does the £26bn in funding cover government grants to Tory donors’ startups?
Let’s hope Graphcore is successful along with Imagination’s rebirth. Definitely need UK tech companies now that ARM is gone. Lots of talented people from all over Europe still and big US companies are sleeping on us.
Aye fortunately we techies are able to get on with it and work around the obstacles created by the endless f*ck ups of the current government
Can’t wait for that to trickle down into the pockets of the poor! Oh no wait.
Didn’t we used to be *more than* double Germany’s in previous years?
And yet as a dev with 6 years commercial experience and a degree, I’m still earning significantly less that a fresh grad in the US.
Does this take into account the almost 50% the pound lost since Brexit? I mean, 50bn then is probably twice as much now so…
