I agree with ULEZ but how it’s being implemented makes no sense.
As someone who works in the industry, some of the cars not being allowed are better for the environment than some that are not.
We have people driving to schools to drop the kids off in SUVs ffs.
As someone who lives in zone 2 this is really welcome. We live on a road with two schools that is constantly choked with traffic, so it’s good to know the worst polluters are being deterred.
Its a good policy but it might cost Labour a couple of marginals on the edge of the Home Counties. Thats politics, you have to be able to balance an array of contradictory needs.
Keir Starmer desperately trying to find another way to throw his mayor under the bus
Those of use with old classic cars who like to use them on weekends are being punished for no reason.
Can the Government intervene.
Hope they can.
Khan is a disgrace and evil man. Hope he voted out.
Was there ever anything to this court case?
It seems like Khan and the London Assembly had the power to do this and that most of the opposing Councils’ arguments were based on saying that they didn’t like the idea rather than explaining why it might be illegal.
So am I missing something, or did these Tory councils just waste a big chunk of taxpayer money to express their dislike of the scheme rather than actually having a valid legal claim to be considered?
YESSSS…. THANK GOD… PARTY TIME.
as an asthma suffer this is amazing news to me. school drop offs are the worst, parents with idling engines. flares my asthma right up.
EDIT: cant wait for the elections. when the tory knock on my door for votes, i’m going to bring this up. and rip them a new one.
Just Stop Sadiq protests starting in 5…4…3…2…*go.*
I kept wondering who or where Ulez was, as I keep seeing it written with a capital letter at the start and then lower case letters.
I kept thinking whoever this Ulez guy is, he seems quite controversial.
