  1. IOC stepping over Russian oligarch’s blockades – good for them

  2. Hope this is true because Olga got the Ok to tap blades from Emmanuel Katsiadakis, before the match. If she is not reinstated then looks like he is russian agent

  3. I dunno what I expected out of the IOC, but it wasn’t that. Maybe they’ve seen the error of their ways and are trying to turn over a new leaf.

  4. However, do not rest fellow Ukrainites! Write the IOC and tell them if Russian and Belarusian athletes compete….even under the Olympic flag you wont be watching.

  5. Good, but this doesn’t exactly vindicate the IOC of other complicity.

  6. Awesome. Not just the result, but the fast response as well. The IOC doesn’t do a lot of things well, but they get full marks on this one.

  7. Honestly woopti fucking doo. This is absolutely worthless to how she’s been treated and how she feels now. so if she shows up in 2024 and refuses to shake the hand of “nota Russian” Russian athlete there just going to DQ her again.

    Malarkey.

  8. Now if only IOC can do something about the Russian doping program.

  9. This is fantastic news! Anna is going to need to train hard. Russians are practiced cheaters, and hold the world record for the most Olympic medals stripped for cheating, beating the next worst offenders four times over.

  10. That is a lovely and very warm letter from Vadym Gutzeit.

I so hope that it signals the IOC growing a conscience and a spine.

  11. I honestly don’t like it. They should repair the wrong. Not having athletes compete under white flag. Reinstate Olga’s win. Not just recreating the same situation one year ahead.
