Hello! I am aware this might be a stupid question, I’ve been researching about moving to Germany to get my Bachelor’s for only a couple of weeks and hit the roadblock of Admission Requirements.

I would appreciate any help/tips/light at the end of the tunnel. Basically, I have my High School Degree from Brazil and an Associate in the US (currently live in the US). I had good grades in High School and a 3.8 GPA on my Associate’s, graduated with honors and all.

However, I have checked [www.daad.de](https://www.daad.de) and done some research, and it seems to me that my Associate’s wouldn’t be considered at all and my Brazilian high school degree would be a “restricted admission” case since the coursework is so different.

With that in mind, my questions are:

1- Do I have any chance of getting into a German university without meeting the criteria?

2- Will I receive an automatic “NO”, or would the University at least analyze my application?

3- In case the University does consider my application: I am in the art field, could my portfolio play a role in if I get accepted into the University at all? (I am hoping my portfolio could be good enough to strengthen my application).

Again, I am aware this might be a stupid question. I am already talking to the University I am interested in but they cannot review my credentials prior to application; so I would appreciate any input to determine if I should still apply or start looking for another country.

TIA!
