It really depends on what you considee Southern Europe is.
It didn’t really hit Portugal all that much. Reached 35⁰ max here, not an unusual temperature for summer.
I heard Italy was cooking though.

Yep, Portugal is not as warm as usual that’s for sure, it even seems that it will rain tomorrow, which is good since usually half the country is on fire around this time of the year. But, this is definitely unusual for this time of the year and definitely due to the change in weather patterns.

Where I live in Italy the news is reporting it’s 110 degrees (43c). The highest temp it’s been the entire month of July was 100 (38c). Was the same when I traveled to Sicily this month. VERY hot there, don’t get me wrong, and the fires are awful. But it was not 120 degrees one day I was there and that is what was being reported daily.
Idk u guys but here the temp has gone down a lot this week, we re even under 40… Crazy
