For context I sent my documents to uni-assist to apply for some German university and this is what i got. Does this mean that if i take this program i will be guaranteed a place in THWS university? And do i not have to learn German if the B.Eng program is in english?

That is what “Conditional offer letter with guaranteed placement” usually means. It means that *if* you succeed in the preparatory program, there is a guaranteed spot for you.

  2. That’s what they claim. Whether the uni wants a proof of German on top of it is something you need to find out on the uni’s website.

And whether not learning German is worth nearly 10000 € to you is something you need to decide for yourself. It will certainly not make your life and later job search in Germany any easier to not speak the language.

  3. Usually when private schools claim such a thing, they forget to mention that the university in question grants admission to *everyone* who fulfills the requirements. If the requirement is virtually “having an Abitur or similar” and nothing else (which is the case for a lot of courses in all universities across the country) then it does indeed mean that everyone who has an Abitur or equivalent or passes the FSP has a spot. *I* could apply and be granted a spot, despite not knowing shit about physics and not having been doing more than 10th grade mathematics in over a decade. But I have an Abitur.

That is not a special feature of the school, but the reality of university admission in Germany.
