How can I apply for this grant? There are 2,500 houses about to get built across the road from me.
By my reckoning I should be due about 50 million euros. Should be able to afford a nice place for myself at last!
Time to change the planning laws make sure that the scum of the Earth can’t prevent other being housed.

This winds me up no end. We’re in the middle of buying in Dundrum near where the new apartments are going near CMH and have been warned off by a few people about it. I even had a work colleague ask if I would be protesting them once finished with the purchase. Meanwhile, there’s literally nowhere in the country better suited to absorb desperately needed go using between amenities, transport, access to green space, business an ld employment opportunities, stability, etc.
This type of stuff needs to go beyond not being entertained and into the realm of trying to e, tort mirny from the government and thus your fellow tax payer.
We are only able to buy because we’ve been living at home for years now and still needed some help which we were very lucky to get (and that many can’t). So many people I know have had their lives on hold from their early 20s to now their mid/late 30s thanks to the sheer fucking selfish greed of the previous generation and those from ours that are all too happy to follow suit. It’s absolutely infuriating, incredibly short sighted and ultimately is to the detriment of everyone.
