  2. The correct ruling here is the Russian athlete should not have been allowed to compete at all. Not even as a “Neutral” athlete (theose Neutral athletes are quick enough to drag out Russian flags when they metal). Total isolation of Russia is the only way to show international condemnation.

    How about just denying the sportspeople of genocidal regimes the opportunity to participate in global sporting events until their regimes have stopped their murderous crimes?

    I know this is a wild concept (and would mean fewer brown padded envelopes stuffed with cash going to the organizers of such events) but it seems this would be far more effective.

  4. The correct solution is to ban citizens from terrorist countries from competing.
