  1. I know we use a lot of words that originated in latin and old French in our language to describe things and actions.

  2. Where is Greek? We are the O.G. who teached you shit

  3. Why doesn’t the map show any mutual intelligibility between french and english? Even though english is germanic and french romance, those languages have a lot of words in common.

I would also have expected english to have some mutual intelligibility with dutch and german.

  4. *La lingua jutlandica* is not distinct from *danese*. It **is** Danish.

  5. Romania: gib hand Italy so I can feel my brothers too 🥺🥺

  6. Bulgarian: 20-30% similarity with Serbian and 90-100% with Russian is a double joke.

  7. What a shitty graph!

You have excluded Romanian from the family tree of the Romance languages.

    Very poor work!

  8. Where is Basque? Where is the link between Frisian and English?

  9. For a moment I thought the 60%/70% was meant between Galician and Portuguese and my blood started boiling… then I noticed it was between Galician and Spanish and my blood pressure resumed normal levels.

  10. Curiously North Macedonia is speaking Bulgarian in this map 😳

  11. I don’t get it, how can portuguese be 60% same as Spanish and then only like 30% the same as Italian? I can perfectly understand written italian, way more than french at least.
