  1. > **Recently, Poland has significantly increased spending on military equipment, and a large part of the Polish government’s purchases are made in South Korea. However, we buy equipment on credit, which is already so great that Korean institutions have reached their funding limit. Changes to the law may be needed.**

    > The Polish armed forces have prepared a plan for the purchase of Korean equipment in 2022. We have ordered e.g. FA-50/FA-50PL aircraft, K9A1 howitzers, Chunmoo rocket launchers and K2 main battle tanks. The equipment cost PLN 1 billion. Where did the Armed Forces Support Fund get this money from?

    > A large part of them probably comes from loans from South Korean state financial institutions, which in this way support their enterprises implementing export contracts. According to SBS TV, Poland was to obtain over PLN 38 billion in this way. However, this is still not enough.

    > According to the Korea Times, our country is seeking another 62 billion credit to finance further purchases. However, there is a big problem with this. Korean financial institutions have already exhausted their funding limits, which depend on their equity and legal regulations. For this reason, the Korean ruling party was to submit a motion to the parliament to increase the financing capacity of state-owned banks.

    > According to Defence24, the second stage of Polish purchases in Korea “includes technology transfers of K2PL tanks, K9PL howitzers and K239 Chunmoo rocket launchers and their licensed production in Poland, as well as the establishment of a guided missile plant with a range of 80 km in our country.”

  2. UA is able to keep ru at bay with less than 40 Himars / M270
WHY ON EARTH would you want to buy 500 MLRS lmao

  3. It seems like bad joke, 62 billion $/euro fucking wasted outside of europe,by the most handicaped joke of govement on continent, on shit WE DO NOT NEED, and won’t be able to find crews for.

Like K9 spg that were forced in instead of domestic production KRAB being just spiting on local MIC

    K2PL the fucking fairytale

FA-50 is just lmao nothing else but purest form of wasting taxpayers money.

Seer quantities of MLRS mostly not nessesery at all, in stated numbers like 500 pices WTF XDD

Fuckers in PIS are planing like we were to go one vs one against russia, utter clowns go ahead but don’t count on me

  4. Sad days for Europe. Bound to spend billions on their armies in the next decade while the world is investing in infrastructure and businesses.

  5. It sucks that Poland Sees it as necessary to make such massive debt, but then again Germany and France didn’t take their Concerns about a Possible Russian Invasion serious.
Additional far right Parties are on the Rise in Europe and they are often Anti Eu /Nato and Pro Russia.
So better be safe then sorry.

  6. Just to clarify it’s 62 billion PLN not USD, so it’s about $ 15,5 billion.

  7. Hell yeah, if its true its basically mean that technology and munition production transfer to poland were accepted.

Since all the basic weapon purchases were in that first debt of:

    48 FA-50/FA-50PL for 3,05 mld USD

    180 K2 for 3,43 mld USD

    212 K9A1 for 2,4 mld USD

    218 K239 za 3,55 mld USD.

One reason to take this new dept is for tech, so in the end this whole Korea endewor might be actually successful.

  8. Does it make sense to borrow an extinguisher when your house just got struck by a lightning?

Does it make sense to borrow some more firearms when you are clearly about to be robbed? 🙂

  9. I thought, they don’t need EU money?! That’s what the far right says all the time. Now, they don’t even have a credit anymore

  10. I honestly don’t understand this whole drama about this credit. One year of 500+ social welfare now is about PLN 44 billions PER YEAR and this PLN 62 billions credit will be probably set up to be paid off in like next 20-30 years. It’s not gonna have any meaningful impact on the budget. Meanwhile our gov just upped 500+ to 800+ which will cost the state budget additional PLN 25 billions PER YEAR and no ones makes drama out of it. Same for some random payouts to elderly.

  11. honestly, the MLRS are a great deal.

Trucks will be from Polish manufacturer, helping local industry and economy. These aren’t that expensive anyways, the missiles are.

Poland will then later save a lot of money by not buying enough missiles to fully utilize their 500 MLRS systems, but that was never the goal anyways.

Of all the arms deals, this is by far the best.
