Evictions seem to be the second most common reason for homelessness after “a breakdown in a relationship/ change in family relations”.
How can these other categories make up 66% of homelessness, and what does a “change in family relations” really mean that people end up in emergency axcomodation?
I would have expected (particularly based on the rhetoric in this sub, online and in other media) that evictions would have composed more like 60-70% of homelessness. Also bear in mind that this is at an eviction spike point after the eviction ban.

I hate to see people falling on bad times but the eviction ban wasn’t sustainable.
The media should be focusing on solutions instead of this, and for the record Im not a fan of our current government
