Hi everyone, I’ve been living and working in Germany for 2 years and a half.
I will start a new job in January and I want to double check everything.
As I understand from https://www.bamf.de/EN/Themen/MigrationAufenthalt/ZuwandererDrittstaaten/Migrathek/BlaueKarteEU/blauekarteeu-node.html
“A permit from the competent immigration authority is required for any change of job within the first two years of employment.” I don’t need to do it (I have done it 7 months ago). But I don’t find any other information whether I need to submit anything from my new employer.

At the moment appointments at the KVR office in Munich are not possible, only emergency appointments if I have luck to get one.

Could anyone guide me?
if relevant: My work permit “tied” to my current employer. I had 2 different employers so far.
Thanks in advance!

  1. Well if you were employed and paid social security for 24 months your residence permit can be changed from “Beschäftigung nur nach Erlaubnis der Ausländerbehörde” to either “Erwerbstätigkeit erlaubt” or “Beschäftigung erlaubt”. This is issued by the foreigners department itself.

For the question if the change of your analog residence permit is required before you can change your employer, you should contact the foreigners department by phone/e-mail.

As far as i understand it should be possible to change employer after 24 months without the involvement of the foreigners department but tbh you should just be certain and the only one who can give you certainty is the foreigners department.

This procedure is determined by Sec. 9 (1) Nr. 1 BeschV: [https://www.gesetze-im-internet.de/beschv_2013/__9.html](https://www.gesetze-im-internet.de/beschv_2013/__9.html)
