So they are going to drag it out for longer , inconveniencing everybody to spite the 0.01 of abusive drivers. Abusing people doing their job is wrong but I work in utilities and I know for certain they go well overboard with traffic management, any excuse to do things the most expensive way possible.
Sounds like the same crew supposedly replacing armco on the A421 just south of Bedford. They’ve took the old barrier down, put a 40 mph speed limit in place, and fucked off. Nobody’s been on site in 6 weeks.
Nobody should be abused for this, but does feel like so many recent roadworks are poorly planned and it’s now impossible to get anywhere without getting stuck.
You see people getting frustrated, a mile section of an A road near me is down to one lane for no real reason now, it was started to connect new builds last year. Then they close a nearby A road and divert that traffic to the single lane a road. It’s not uncommon for a 15 minute journey to take 40 now.
