Does it mean you’re not allowed to follow a GPS route through there? Or does it mean that all GPS usage is forbidden in an area for whatever reason?
Or is it just a recommendation to check the route because GPS might see this as the shortest route even though it’s inconvenient?

And what if I wanna go to a place on the road? Is it allowed then?

Basically my question is rather: “Why does it exist?” instead of “What does it mean?”

  1. Mostly because there is a road used for cutting corners by gps and they dont want people using it anymore

Edit: also a possibility: a small road used by gps for sending big lorries to get gas but they get get stuck, destroy the little road, cause distress for the ones living there,…. (Happens not far from me)

  2. Gps could give you directions into roads you are no longer allowed to drive in. Happens there are diversions or when they changed a street to one way only etc.

  3. That u may not rely on gps directions from that point
