I have made an earlier post about this.
It turns out that it is a limited contract for a furnished room and therefore the normal notice period does not apply.
I am leaving Germany but not for any reasons that would be considered extraordinary.
The landlady is still insisting on four months of rent before August 1st to cancel the contract (I understand that she is just being nice and has the right to hold me to the contract). The problem is literally impossible for me to pay this before 1st as I have not received my monthly payout and will need to pay for a flight back home.
Can I just pay her rent for August while still trying to negotiate? Or is there any other way out of this?
If I do not collect the keys and move in do I still have to pay the deposit?
