  2. Very expensive 800-odd votes for the Greens in Uxbridge.

    They had gone to Labour, the talk now would be of more Tory civil war. Instead the Tories now think they can win by torching environmental policies and Labour are too scared to offer anything green.

    FPTP is shite.

    The byelection result really wasn’t a shock, given Uxbridge has voted Tory consistently for about 100 years. The shocking part is that Labour came within 500 votes of winning.
