  1. No matter the cost, it’s worth tearing the old coat off and replacing it with one demonstrating freedom. display it against a tyrannical neighbor.

  2. They should take the metals from the USSR emblem and recast into a Soldier’s memorial for this war.

  3. they could have kept the Wheat stems from the soviet coat of arms and placed them on the other side of the shield and it would be a pretty powerful statement (protecting wheat).

  4. I look for Ruzzia to consider this a valid military target…

  5. I’ve a feeling the Ukrainians expect this to be a Russian target and maybe think a) it’ll divert a few attacks away from killing civilians but also b) the photo opportunities if it gets damaged and repeatedly gets rebuilt will be priceless for global reputation.

  6. This is a great way to deal with the old soviet statue as it is a pretty awesome landmark that most people in Kyiv have grown up with and probably saw as a sign they were nearly home after a trip as it came into sight.

It keeps the history while clearly stating Ukraine’s break from the past and its own sovereignty now and into the future.

  7. Suggestion for next edit: Put a FPV drone controller in the other hand instead of the sword.

  8. While at it, replace that ugly russian head with one that represents the beauty and culture of Ukraine.
