  1. If you’ve got a sore toe today – you best believe it’s probably Covid!

Wonder will testing get back up to full capacity at all this week – still 15k tests short of the max capacity we’ve seen

  2. 9 people in my family/friend group have tested positive with antigen tests but not one of us can get an appointment (Kerry)

  3. Thank fuck for antigen tests. If we were reliant on PCR tests we’d be in an even worse spot.

NPHET’s anti-antigen takes during the summer have aged poorly.

  4. WHO says that if a country’s positivity is above 5%, you’re not coping and your surveillance is surely missing outbreaks and cases.

We’re so past that it’s not funny. This is pretty much the area the government actually could do a quick fix for too. You can’t just build new hospitals and ICU units overnight, but you can absolutely build testing capacity much faster. Our capacity has been too low for too long

  5. 3 friends + their families with positive antigen tests – 2 of them had positive PCR and the other all had negative PCR. All feeling lousy but not too bad thankfully, except the one that was unvaccinated – she had covid last year and thought she was immune, she’s not doing well at all

  6. So lockdown for >9 months, cases explode once things are relaxed a little. Watch for our word leading experts advisors to call for another lockdown soon. Worked so well before. Insanity

  7. Theory, people know they are/were covid positive and are getting tested so that they don’t have to quarantine anymore or so they can fly.

  8. Numbers are meaningless because most people can’t get a test. It would help if they also published website analytics data to guage how many people are trying and failing to get a test and how often they’re trying to get one.

  9. I feel like I’m gonna be included in the cases tomorrow or the next day. On the way home from seeing the family for Christmas I started getting a bad runny nose, which turned into a bad headcold and I feel weak. Not to mention my Aunt who I saw 3 days ago is a confirmed close contact.

  10. Are they even still doing close contact tracing?

Wife has covid confirmed by pcr on 25th nothing from hse apart from calling to confirm her address

  11. Thank fuck for antigen tests. They prompted me to isolate and not see loved ones even when I had no symptoms. Then bang, next day, sick as a dog with covid.
