Thus, making the burning of books illegal would be straight forward and unproblematic. Remember, only nazis and facists burn books, after all.
Deportation is an excellent legal tool. If they are so crazy and sensitive about it maybe they should go somewhere where all of their sensitivities are actual laws.

Or maybe people should live where they feel like the law is better aligned with their values. It’s easy to travel outside Europe.

That poor guy that burned the Quran in Sweden was an ex-Mulsiim, and as an ex-Muslim he can expect exactly the same treatment from Islam and its supporters as a Jew could expect from Germans in the 40s. But “progressive” people called him an idiot, Islamophobic (it literally wants to genocide his kind, why shouldn’t he burn that extremely violent book?) and tried to distance themselves from him in stead of backing him. Imagine treating a Jew that way cause he burned Mein Kampf. You say you want equality but you always check the minority background of the victim and the perpetrator before deciding if they deserve support. Standing against Islam and the Quran is standing for human rights and lives.

The Quran burners in Denmark recently is either Rasmus Paludan or from a small group of people thinking he is not radical enough, so they left his political party and started their own called Danish Patriots. Looking online they got 300 followers on facebook. If I have to guess, I would say 20 real idiots, and 280 false profiles belonging to media, politicians and police that curious about what the idiots are doing.
That a score of idiots could potentially hurt Danish export and throw the nation into international crisis is madness, but, and this is the must be said but, the Nazi party is legal in Denmark. Various nutty religions are legal in Denmark. hizb ut tahrir is legal in Denmark….. Lots of crazyness is legal in Denmark. Allowing the nutty free range to blast out their nuttyness gives the authorities space and opportunity to keep an eye on them, so they do not go completely bananas.
It is like the hash selling in Christiania. If the police somehow really closed down the “business” from this somewhat limited area, where there are surviallance cameras sorrounding the free town, and civilian police regularly attempts to blend with the locals. What would then happen is that the sale of hash and maybe stronger drugs would spread all over town, making it completely impossible for the police to excert any control or limitations.
In short we got those 20 idiots that should not play with matches, but since they are vocal about it in fairly public places, we know who those idiots are. Banning or making it illegal for them to be so open, would push their agenda and methods to places hidden from public scrutiny, and maybe one day explode in fashions much worse than the current idiocy.
I’ve been thinking about this for a while now but are there really countries where you can just randomly set things on fire in public and not get arrested for ~~pyromania~~ arson?
I am going to say this is a good thing, because the government is acknowledging that we (christians and muslims) are part of the same Danish society and it is quite frankly not ok that one group (or person, its largely been done by one guy until now) gets up on a regular basis and seriously provokes another… because the provocation is all this is about, its an idiot screaming fire in a crowded theatre because they enjoy the response.

Non Muslims should not be bound by Islamic rules. If Muslims have a problem with burning, then they shouldn’t burn it. But it does not need to be enforced on non-Muslims.
If Muslims start protesting gay marriage, will denmark look for tools to cancel it?
How about a legal tool to prevent the rioting that arises from free (if objectionable) expression? Like, say, deportation for the participants who cannot conform to a democratic society with civic liberties.

Well you have to seek permission for all kinds of demonstrations, and they often get denied because of stuff like “it would obstruct traffic”, so reasons like “may be a cause of violence, and we can’t spend police resources on protecting your ass” should be a perfectly valid reason to deny the request already. The point of these burning is to troll and hope for a protest that shows Muslims/immigrants in a bad light so anyone willingly causing trouble should be responsible for any damages that may occur.
In Italy it is explicitly forbidden to damage religious objects as a way to provoke hate and in general attack freedom or religion. It works. We don’t have religious civil unrest.
