On July 29, the “Second Ordinance Amending the Ordinance Establishing Further Provisions for the Reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Fuels” came into force in Germany.
One of the most important changes of this regulation: From now on, the registration deadline for the GHG quota ends earlier than before. While it previously expired on February 28 of the following year, it will now be shortened by about 3 months to November 15. This means that anyone who has not yet registered for the 2023 GHG quota should do so by November 15.
