Good. Now if only Diageo suffer the same fate.

Raw materials have dropped in price but they’re still trying to say that “rising costs” are why the price of kegs are going up.

  1. This is what’s meant to happen when they push prices stupidly high. Hopefully this encourages them to do something about it.

  2. having read the article, all i take from it is that theyll release another couple of heavily marketed, 4% slightly different pissbraus from their staple pissbraus and call it a day

  3. Prices never come back down after inflation, it’s the same old BS.

Speaking from my experience, a lot of people have cut back on alcohol over the past few years and it’s not only due to pricing.

  4. FYI I decided to boycott Heineken products because they actively operated in Russia after the invasion.

  5. That and also because it tastes of piss and thankfully we have more choice these days.

  6. Shareholder demands keep going up though.

The stock market has been creaming the progress everyone has worked to achieve over the past hundred years.

  7. Heineken is 7.20/30 in most places in Dublin. Meanwhile craft beer is nicer and will cost you 6.50. It’s a no brainer.

  8. The price of drink has hiked up so I’m not paying premium price for a standard lager. I’ve taken to fogoing the 8 cans of Carlsberg or Heineken due to the cost. I’ll get 4 craft beers instead because then I can get better flavours and more variety since its all premium cost now.

  9. Alcohol is extortionally high in cost. Total up the wages to get pissed, I got rent to pay. Cut down massively, are they trying to kill the pub. Haven’t seen a drink deal in years. Used to be copious midweek deals, 2 euro drinks, 3 euro drinks, free mixers. I’d have been happy tipping the barman too, now rounding up can put a serious dent in your pocket.
