This is not exactly surprising. I suspect that the birthrate will explode once Russia is defeated.

Soon as they rebuild and have someplace to **** and raise a family without fear of dying things will return to normal.
You should also consider that the Russian population is in decline, and this war is only going to increase that issue. Saw a YouTube vid not so long ago about this very subject.
