Saw this guy on youtube making claims about how much money you give new residents per child. What do you guys think about this? I don’t personally find it that funny if it’s supposed to be a joke. Thanks for your opinions on this

P.S. We just got back yesterday from Zürich and I have to say we were impressed about how well the country is running!

True. But there is a little tiny catch. You need either to be Swiss or have permanent residence permit C. Here, in English, from the commune Albinen: [https://albinen.ch/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/2017_12_12_Wohnbaufoerderung_englisch.pdf](https://albinen.ch/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/2017_12_12_Wohnbaufoerderung_englisch.pdf)
You can get a permanent residence permit C no sooner than after 5 years of living in Switzerland with a residence permit B (exceptions apply if you are a Swiss university professor).
If you are a non-EU/EFTA person, here how you could get a residence permit B in the first place: [https://www.sem.admin.ch/sem/en/home/themen/arbeit/nicht-eu_efta-angehoerige.html](https://www.sem.admin.ch/sem/en/home/themen/arbeit/nicht-eu_efta-angehoerige.html)
PS: Best employer in this case would be Lonza : [https://www.lonza.com/careers/job-search](https://www.lonza.com/careers/job-search) and hope you do not get a permit L during your first two years of stay, which is very possible when you work in Vallais. (which would mean, you need at least 7 years until you have your permit C).
It’s real and exists in many rural villages, because schools close, shops close people move and villages die in switzerland.

It’s just a bit right wing to only show black people…
It’s actually not much different than the tax difference, per village.
Also this stuff is directly voted in the village and the habitants itself.
1. it was one municipality who had this program
2. they stopped it now because media and idiot-influencers from all around the world spread it, which lead to thousands of messages by people who never qualified for it. Because
3. you would still need to fulfill all requirements for recidency. They would give you money, but no hand out recidency permits.
4. 25k is not a lot of money. It‘s a nice little relocation bonus, but nothing else.
5. Albinen is a remote village with declining population, because the young don‘t stay living there. That‘s something to consider when you move there with children.
6. the offer was only for families with small children. So don‘t even think about getting money moving as a single or as a retired couple.
TLDR: it‘s just a case of a viral internet story..
