HSE to be split into six new health regions next year as part of long-awaited reforms by hesaidshesdead Tags:ireland 18 comments So back to the way we were before They should call them something snazzy like “Regional Health Boards” or something. I dunno, we’re five million souls Greater Manchester in size. Six regional Health Boards? Surely this shower won’t be in power long enough to implement this. Please explain how more bureaucracy delivers better health care. 6 new “Regional Health Executive” jobs on the way. Get yer CVs ready lads. If there’s one thing that’s gonna save our health service it’s definitely more non medical executives. Looking forward to when they merge them into one in 10 years. It was Micheal Martin who scrapped the original regional health boards which lead to the creation of the hse when he was minister for health. The idea at the time was that a central system would streamline treatments and reduce costs because of duplication. Lol Good thing I kept my old card should work again soon Well thank goodness they’re fixing public health by employing more administrators. Ah the “Eastern Health Board” returns… So how many overpaid middle management are we loosing? Now also recruiting orchestra members to join the deck chair arrangers on SS Irelandic. In other words, one bad service for Dublin and 5 completely fucking terrible services for anywhere else. Because obviously the biggest issue with our health service is the chronic lack of administration and bureaucracy. But the same old wasteful management who are never held to account This is eerily familiar Are we having a collective flashback? Please tell me part of the reform is going to stop giving 50 people the same appointment time. So more permanent untouchable jobs for talentless admin staff that refuse to up skill when their role becomes pointless? Leave a ReplyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
