  1. Thanks to all the Ukrainian heroes and their allies out there on the frontlines for fighting for a better world!

  2. It is interesting but important that this report highlights a specific problem for the Russians which is battlefield cohesion. Starting at a rather early stage of the invasion the Russian side sought to fix manpower problems by shuffeling sub-units from one area of the front to another until most units completely lost their identity (Instead of rotating depleted units out of the combat zone and building them back up with fresh personell). In many cases Russian soldiers literally don’t know which unit is fighting right next to them on the defensive line. Under such circumstances you are not going to stick out your neck in oder to help someone you don’t really know. Instead of difficult combat situations being a shared problem it turns into “their problem”. The hodgepot collection of units on the souther stretch of the front is notorious for it and transfering them to other hotspots will only spread the problem. Basically, Russia seek to save the basket by adding more bad apples.

We’ll see how that will work out for them.

  3. That last paragraph looks a lot like “Russia’s ability to defend is basically exhausted everywhere in the south, and once Ukraine makes a breakthrough they can just roll up the Russians sideways.”
