I received a (priority) letter from the district court, apparently from a bailiff. Is it serious?

  1. They have a letter for you that you need to go and get, and sign. They have to inform you, and get that on paper that you have been informed. It can be a subpoena, indictment, or you haven’t paid some bill and they are suing you. They will not arrest you, for that they will come to your door. So, no need to be afraid, the bailiffs/summoners are quite relax bunch. edit: if you do not contact, police will come and knock on your door.

What is new, you can also call and if it is the kind of information that can be given verbally, you don’t even have to visit. It is highlighted so i would definitely call them, that is most likely a hint.

  2. Noone can tell you if it’s serious since noone here has seen the document.

  3. I Don’t know why, but… this looks like a fake letter made so that you’d call that number and accidentally pay a big phone bill or something. Kai Muttilainen’s signature is super small, the date is for tomorrow, the random ! at the end of the first line of text, the T of ”Teille” is capital which doesn’t make sense to me, the date is randomly written next to ”Tampereella”. I’m not saying this is fake, and i would do what the letter says, it just looks… sketchy.
