If he does, it’s highly likely to result in mass economic issues and growing public opposition just before the elections. Putin’s cronies massively rigs the elections. But it only works because his media and propaganda machine works overtime to maintain his power base while making the rest so confused they’re politically apathetic. Even his army of trolls won’t be able to cover up the consequences of mandatory mass mobilization.
