Trouble finding student housing ? Look here.

Hi everyone

I am writing this post because I did not know this myself when I was looking for my first student house in Norway, but there are several student housing providers here, so if you struggle to find housing, maybe this post will help you!

1. [Student Housing Associations](https://www.sio.no/) have the biggest supply of studenthousing and usually you can get a room/apartment there if you are not very picky, but sometimes you will have to wait. SiO is definitely the biggest one, and this is where the most students will land if you are on exchange or coming from abroad. I believe that if you study in Viken you can get housing in SiO if you are willing to travel!

2. [BSN](https://bsn.no/en/home/) – only for BI students : better standard, but a little more pricey

3.[Anker](https://ankerstudentbolig.no/en/heart-of-oslo/) is the most flexible of all: they accept not only students, but also apprentices/trainees and age limit is 36. They almost often have available rooms, but most rooms come unfurnished!

4. [Diakonhjemmet](https://diakonhjemmet.unialltid.no/?searchFilter=eyJib29sIjp7Im11c3QiOlt7Im1hdGNoX2FsbCI6e319XSwiZmlsdGVyIjpbeyJ0ZXJtIjp7ImhvdXNpbmdUeXBlIjowfX1dfX0%3D) has a lof of housing units in Oslo as well

5. [Heimstaden](https://heimstaden.com/no/student/) also offers some student housing in Oslo

6. Individual hybels(studios), rooms and apartmens can be found at

c.Facebook groups like “Student Market Oslo” (there are two groups with this name, so I won’t post a link) and [“Rooms/Apartmens for rent in Oslo”](https://www.facebook.com/groups/519006134803968)

You will also likely find some students subletting their rooms temporarily, so you can rent those while you are waiting for your desired apartment.
