Conservatives must remember why they won in 2019 if they want to triumph again

  1. Conservative voters now are split into different groups, with different priorities and it’s impossible to keep them all happy at once. Labour has this problem too, especially with Brexit and it’s a direct consequence of first past the post where you have all these weird coalitions sticking together to try and get power rather than just letting people vote for the people and policies they want.

  2. they don’t need to remember anything. no matter how many scandals this govt is involved in, the country will still vote Conservative

there’s no way the Conservatives will lose an 80 seat majority, and most certainly not while Starmer is in charge of Labour

  3. I’m pretty sure the reason they won in 2019 is because their manifesto was a pile of lies. I’m not sure they’ve forgotten how to do that.

  4. The pro-Brexit electoral pact? In the 2019 GE, the Brexit Party stood only in opposition seats and asked its candidates to stand down in Conservative-held seats.

  5. Tories are definitely going to campaign on some form of “we didn’t get the brexit you deserved thanks to the woke trans millennials, vote for us to get brexit done again” type messaging and it’ll probably work, especially so if they get some bland suit with sensible hair like Sunak in charge.

  6. Boris said they’d “get Brexit done” and now it is. How can you repeat that feat again unless we rejoin the EU next year then vote to leave again. That’s the only way I can see they can reuse this narrative.
