  1. I wonder at what point the population will look back and with a consensus that Rishi and the Tories were wrong.

  2. Don’t worry, waiting lists will fall once they start dying off.

  3. Oh my, this awful man is a car crash. It’s almost like he wasn’t even the second top choice of his party.

  4. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak spoke to LBC’s Nick Ferrari this morning, and took questions from callers including an A&E doctor from Newcastle:^1,2

    >Mr Sunak said while nurses and some NHS workers had accepted the government’s offer, “unfortunately we still have groups of people who are not doing that”.

    >“They are striking and that is the reason that the waiting lists are going up,” he said.

    >A furious A&E registrar named Olivia said it was “amazing” to hear the PM blame spiralling waiting lists on doctors going on strike.

    >“You are losing staff because we are undervalued,” she said.

    >The British Medical Association member said: “It is not just doctors, it is everyone, we are all leaving.

    >“A happy workforce is your responsibility. You’re the prime minister, you are the government, your staff aren’t happy and that’s your fault.”

    >Mr Sunak told the doctor: “Fundamentally, you and I are not going to agree, because your union is asking for a 3 per cent pay rise.

    >“I don’t think that’s reasonable, I don’t think that’s affordable and I don’t think that’s fair.”

A record 7.5m patients are waiting to start treatment.

  5. He’s a Tory. Prime Tory. Their modus operandi is to blame someone, anyone, else for their failures.

What blows my mind is that people keep voting for these clowns and criminals.

People would rather accept a floundering economy, failing healthcare, corruption and lies, than clean air and a few quid to drive a polluting car. Nuts.

  6. Sunak is using the same techniques of manipulation that people with borderline use towards their victims.

Not sure if this is natural or he was trained to do this. Basically, no normal person is talking like this.

Either way, we shouldn’t put up with any more of this kind of abuse and he should either seek medical help or if this is done purposefully, this should be investigated and people behind this banned from politics.

  7. > They are striking and that is the reason that the waiting lists are going up

How in the world does he explain that waiting lists have been increasing steadily prior to these strikes?

  8. So . . .

To be fair, he’s 100% right that striking doctors will push up waiting lists – which is the optics he wants.

The reality is that doctors are striking for a reason, and have tried, repeatedly to get the government to speak to them **without** striking, which really, means the blame is on the government, not doctors, who (a) want to get paid fairly, and (b) don’t want to watch their patients die because of resource starving by the government.

  9. Tory government gaslighting the public like a coercive partner.

  10. It’s amazing how someone can be in charge for 13 years (tory party, not sunak) and YET be responsible for nothing. It’s the fault of labour, unions, nurses, doctors, migrants, judges, EU….anything but the government.

We do deserve better but 1 in 4 still think this is worth another 5 years!

  11. That’s like saying the floor broke someones arm, conveniently ignoring the fact that you pushed them to the floor in the first place, technically correct but missing key context. To quote The Dude, ‘you’re not wrong, you’re just an asshole’

  12. Nevermind the under investment in the nhs, cutting staff wages every year since they got elected. Failure to train enough home grown nurses and doctors and this cunt thinks it the doctors fault. The arsewipes government have just refused to talk to the nurses about pay and conditions.
The man is a total fuckwit.
