How will this impact Finland, if it were to happen?

  1. The sun will stop working after 6 million years. We are fckd.

  2. Rest of the world gets hotter, we get colder. Worst case scenario is that temp drops -15 celsius, meaning nice crispy north siberian climate in here.

  3. Climate would cool but not as much as many think. Gulf Stream does bring warmer water but the bulk warming in the Europe comes from the body of waters, Mediterranean, Baltic Sea and all the lakes. Gulf stream adds to that effect, making things just a bit better. It is not insignificant, by no means but Finland does not become wasteland.

  4. Finland will definetly be still livable, it has very stable climate throught it’s history and is very protected from extreme weather phenomenon, it would get colder, there have been even through my life time extremely cold winters and we have survived them well, just 20 years ago, there were winters with minus 35-45 celsius.
