I moved to Luxembourg six months ago for work, and my wife and I have been in a long-distance relationship since then. We are both non-EU citizens, and I’m planning to bring her here through a spouse visa after she completes her postgraduate degree in Marketing Management in Canada.
I’ve been concerned about her job prospects in Luxembourg since she lacks extensive experience and only knows English. However, I stumbled upon discussions about a recent law change that could grant work permits for trailing spouses, which could increase her chances.
According to the news from last month, the parliament voted yes for this law change. Now, I’m curious about how long it might take for the law to become applicable after the voting.

If anyone has information or insights on this matter, I would greatly appreciate your input. Thank you!
