On July 27th I was on the bus from the airplane to the terminal and I left my phone on the bus seat. I walked off the bus and I realized immediately and turned around to grab it. I could see it with my own two eyes.
Security stopped me and said I’m not allowed to turn back for security reasons… VERY odd when they could see it and could of easily grabbed it and handed it to me.
Anyways they told me they’ll bring it to lost and found “right away” which they did not.
The lost and found people said it’ll be there in a couple hours. It wasn’t.
So I filled out their bullshit lost and found form online and included my phone passcode that I “had” to put in to prove to them that it’s mine.

Did all that and no response to calls, emails nothing. I emailed every other department in the airport and they only sent me right back to their email. I even emailed the airport police and Frankfurt police just to be extreme even though I know they don’t give a fuck.

I know it’s a material thing and can be replaced (I already replaced it) but my dumbass never backed up any photos on that phone and all my photos of me with my family members who are no longer on this earth. They’re just gone just like that. That’s the most upsetting part for me.

Anyways I check to see if the phone location has updated via find my iPhone and there it is. July 28th opened at 7:12am by someone in the airport that knows my password. No one has contacted me. No one is helping me.
Not sure what to do at this point when I can’t even get into contact with someone.

Mildly infuriating at this point.

I don’t know what to do but I know they have my phone. I’m in Canada so it’s not like I can just go get it.

Can anyone offer some guidance?

Possibly someone going through frankfurt airport at any point can stop by the lost and found and get them to send me my damn phone?

I don’t know. I’m defeated

  1. The moment you realize that someone has gained access to your phone and is not informing you, you should immediately consider bricking your phone. I wouldn’t risk someone violating my privacy and potentially using my identity.
