Absolutely beyond belief that the board are looking to appeal this.
> The board said it would in the interim put Mr ÓSuird back on the payroll and pay arrears of salary and pension contributions.
This feels insufficient and like some real damages should be owed
Carol scott the current principal will make arrangements when he is reinstated which is confidential? Confidential in a state public job? Load of bollox. Someone do a freedom of Information on that.
Also he pulled a seated first class student by the jumper to ” remonstrate ” “with” him. Carefully chosen words.
Would be very curious what the arrangement with the current principal is.
Also isn’t the head of the board high up in education? this is a really bad look for her and fair play to the judge for being so blunt in his assessment.
This man was suspended in 2013 and dismissed in 2015.
Afaik, school boards of management sit for four year terms so very likely the current board (who lost this appeal) is made up of different people to the one that dismissed him.
Not being from that part of the country, I honestly don’t know what the real story is here.
“Ms. Ni Dhuinn was made chairperson of the Board of Management in December 2011. Within weeks she had destroyed all the work done by her predecessors. It is a shocking legacy,” Justice Cregan concluded.
Some litany of damage and injustice wrought by Ms. Ni Dhuinn.
