Honest question: what exactly are the security guaranties? Is it like Taiwan where the US has provided guarantees to come to their aid? What does it actually involve?
So much so, US deliberately avoids using word “guarantees” and uses “assurances”. So, at best, there will be assurances that help continues, at least if Trump won’t be elected, in which case even these assurances won’t matter – aid will be stopped immediately.
What is Ukraine going to offer to the US in exchange for its security guarantee? I don’t think the US will provide a guarantee for free.
Ukraine can get an assurance of security for free from Biden, but a guarantee is going to require Congressional approval. I’m not sure if Biden has the votes.
