  1. France is lacking a lot, and the ones that are there are mostly wrong.

  2. not very, as they just put in the same for bavaria, switzerland, austria and northern italy.

    vastly different cultures.

  3. I can see at least one inaccuracy. Over England and the Netherlands you can see a capotaine (Americans might know it as a ‘pilgrim hat’). Sure enough, it was a very common style of hat in those places around the 16th/17th centuries. The issue is that they never actually had buckles on them, that is an invention of later artists.

Besides, whilst it is a historical style, I wouldn’t say it is considered part of traditional English dress today. I would say a [bowler hat](https://images.saymedia-content.com/.image/c_limit%2Ccs_srgb%2Cq_auto:eco%2Cw_392/MTc3NTU3OTc2Njk2MjM1NDgy/the-bowler-hat.webp) would be the more appropriate titfer.

I see they’ve given nothing for Wales, where [these stovepipe-style hats](https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/54196f42e4b0cb4c39812e2c/1486648810835-PPW9EMOPEO0YZ978QHFY/welsh2.jpg?format=750w) are a part of the traditional dress for women.

  4. For sweden, almost not correct at all.

the white/black hat is a graduation hat, only worn once in your life time basically.

  5. The hat for Ukraine is accurate but that’s just the summer hat. The winter hat is a rounded sheepskin hat, since you can’t really wear a straw hat in winter.

Also there’s the Krysanya hat which is more common in the Carpathian region and western Ukraine. It’s essentially a felt bowler but with a bunch of ribbons and beads and tassels and stuff.

Edit: ok you had the Krysanya in the photo, didn’t see it at first

  6. I have a feeling this whole thing was just made as a set-up for the punchline over there in ~~the south in~~ Russia.

  7. Fez isn’t turkish. It is moroccon or greek. Ottoman wear it after tanzimat reforms(1830s) but get banned in 1920s.

  8. The french bonnet was created in the basque country region of Spain, so that’s one inaccuracy so far.

Georgia has several traditional hats, only Papakhi is not our traditional hat. There is also a Svan hat, Megrelisn-Abkhazian hat, Adjarian-Gurian hat, Khevsurian hat.

P.S. Papakhi is the hat of NorthEast Georgians and NorthEast Caucasians, but on map this hat is in Armenia, which is wrong because Armenians don’t have this hat(Papakhi).

  10. The hat for moravia (region in czech republic which is close to slovakia) doesn’t really fit.

The traditional hats here are smaller and simpler in general shape but are heavily decorated.

  11. I don’t know what the red thing in Denmark is. An off brand Nissehue? The “studenterhue” is correct, but most commonly white and only worn during graduation of “gymnasium” (school year 10-13)

  12. I’m in southern Sweden and we wear these captain hats when we graduate from high school. The northernmost one is worn by the indigenous Sami people. The one in the middle one is pretty accurate too I guess, they come in all sorts of colors and patterns, don’t think I know anyone that wears them unironically.

  13. Croat one is the traditional hat of like 5% of the population at best lol
