Hello mitenand. I am a Swiss resident and would like to celebrate an academic achievement (completion of PhD) in a public park in Luzern in September. The number of people would be about 15-20. We would serve food and wine and throw up some collapsible tables and chairs (not on grass, but on gravel path that wouldn’t block anyone walking). I would like to as well hang some paper lanterns (no wires or plastic or anything) from the tree above the table, as well as a few LED string lights (battery-operated, super thin, small, almost no voltage, picture here :[https://down-ph.img.susercontent.com/file/c79dd1ec868cf164676602dae084d3dd](https://down-ph.img.susercontent.com/file/c79dd1ec868cf164676602dae084d3dd))
Would I need to seek permission to do this? I couldn’t find a phone number on the public park’s website. I am usually of the “ask forgiveness not permission” mentality (I know, not the country’s style), but I would like the peace of mind that some police officer will not come and bulldoze down what is meant to be a special day.
Thank you!

Ask the relevant office of the City of Lucerne: [https://www.stadtluzern.ch/dienstleistungeninformation/3527](https://www.stadtluzern.ch/dienstleistungeninformation/3527)
PS: The magic word to find the information is “Bewilligung”
