  1. they should have a designated parking space, every couple of streets, like an MC one

  2. If you don’t leave it in a legitimate parking spot you can get fined. The problem is there aren’t any for scooters. I do my best to find at least a Motorcycle spot to put them in, or in a wide area where they don’t get in the way of anyone. Yea leaving it right in the middle like that isn’t great, but gotta put it somewhere.

  3. Don’t know what you mean. They are occuping the parking space. It’s exactly the spot for them.

You should know parking space ain’t for cars only.

  4. pick it up and throw it somewhere. Simply as that. I live in Msida and these constantly block pavements/parking spaces. Tourists dont give a fuck… they`re here for a few days.

Need to push a pram or a wheelchair? Too bad
Need to park your car after coming home from work? Too bad.

As long as the tourists are comfortable… no fuck you… I just dump it on the side

  5. Every last street is lined with cars left and right, but cHeCk OuT tHeSe SeLfIsH sCoOtErS I guess 🙃

  6. Isn’t the brainless thing designing our country to be so car oriented that anything on the street that is not a car (escooter, motorbikes…pedestrians) are considered the problem? Let’s not forget that to cater to car we pour black tar all over the country reducing water infiltration (in arid country) and contributing to urban heat island effects (in already hot country)….but yeah sure, the escooters are brainless.

  7. It’s a free parking spot for you. Get out, move the scooters, and enjoy your parking spot.

  8. In general the “scoote polution” is real; but apart of policy for them to be more practical they’re required to park them in parking spots, since parking spaces are for all vehicles etc. The problem with this in particular isnt on the scooter companies or the people placing em, its on the goverment. This is just an extention of the complaints that there aren’t enough small vehicle/motorCycle parking places and the gov just keeps refusing to re-organise parking to account for bike parking.

If they place them too close to either car it can be seen as their fault, so people opt to put em into the middle of the space, but thats just the logical responce to the current set of rules around the topic.

Also there’s the chance that they did acc figure out the right amount of space to place em concienciously and then the cars around em moved out and other cars parked like that; But that’s coming up with a specific narative to a general problem which would still be fixed with more small vehicle parking.

  9. I always move them tbh to leave space for parking. Those things don’t pay taxes on them.

  10. Well they pay a road licence and are parked in a parking spot. Same with motorcycles, white boxes are not car parking spaces but parking spaces for all licensed vehicles.

  11. They’re not necessarily brainless (though I don’t exclude it), they’re selfish!

  12. Yeah, I mean why would you add even more cars to this road? They’re so space-inefficient. Rather have kick-scooters or bikes, or vespas.

  13. On a side note, if you intend to move them to the pavement, try to be considerate enough to not block the entrance to anyone’s home. Blocking an entrance will only enrage people enough to do something stupid.

  14. Comparing with abroad – and yes i have to compare as the service provider and escooters are the same- we don’t have the infrastructure (as usual) properly set up. Abroad even certain pavements are restricted to park and roads are not permitted.
So, while I don’t agree, we’re not setting the infrastructure properly for them to be used.

  15. if they had put them on the sidewalk someone would have posted the pics complaining about the parking….

  16. U see cars are entitled to public space.

    Any other vehicle is not

  17. This space is being used by two vehicles available to anyone in the community, not one private one. And there’s space for more. I see no problem here at all. Legally or otherwise.
