6. I am in Georgia. I always hum this song in the elevator when russian speakers get in, and I always say thank you quite loudly in Ukrainian when I am in a shop and there are russians around – which is almost every time I am in a shop nowadays.

   Good moment. I met a young woman and her son who are russian speakers from Mariupol, and we have become elevator buddies. We catch up whenever we happen to be in the elevator at the same time. Yes. My elevator is very very slow.

   Awkward/strange moment the other day… I got in the lift. A russian couple got in. I closed my eyes and started humming, and continued all the way to the top floor. They never got out… Turned out they are my new neighbours. They didn’t seem to mind the song. Guess they will have to get used to hearing Ukrainian music through their walls. (I am learning Ukrainian).

7. Then they post a video either crying and complaining that people are being mean to them for *no reason* or threatening to conquer and murder the population of whatever country this happens in.

8. Can anyone explain what’s going on here?
