Gergeti Trinity Church, Georgia.

  1. Built in the 14th century by an unknown architect, and is the only cross-cupola church in Khevi province. The separate belltower dates from the same period as the church itself, but built later.

Its isolated location on top of a steep mountain surrounded by the vastness of nature has made it a symbol for Georgia.

  2. Amazing spot! The first time we went there, we stayed in the town of Kazbegi. Fog covered the area and we only caught a glimpse of it as we were leaving. When we went back, my wife and I had a clear day and we took a car up there. Incredible spot.

Georgia itself is insanely beautiful. Personally, I was a big fan of Mtskheta’s river valley.

After visiting Georgia, I wonder why I spent so much chasing picturesque mountain views in Switzerland. Secretly, it’s Europe’s most beautiful country.
