    [Intel crab on twitter](https://twitter.com/IntelCrab/status/1687595063587590144) reports tug is nearby as the tanker is not moving after hit.

    The Russian owned/operated vessel in question is SIG (IMO: 9735335), which has been under U.S. sanctions since 2019 for jet fuel deliveries to Syria.

    No causalities reported.

  2. A russian tanker in russian waters would be a legitimate target especially after russian threatened civilian grain shipments

  4. And thus needing a tow thats makes sense but one things for sure this fix will take along time.

  5. This is what they need to do, start taking out logistics assets on the water. The tankers, cargo ships and ferries that are feeding the war effort. Ukraine will cut the land bridge eventually and the kerch bridge as well. If these are gone as well then it doesn’t matter how strong the southern defense are. You can’t defend with no ammo and you can’t ship ammo with no fuel
