Hi, all!
My partner and our 1-year-old are visiting Norway in early September. We’re coming from [Copenhagen](https://www.tripadvisor.in/Tourism-g189541-Copenhagen_Zealand-Vacations.html), and fly back to the states out of [Oslo](https://www.tripadvisor.in/Tourism-g190479-Oslo_Eastern_Norway-Vacations.html). We have 3.5 days to play with.
I’m looking at two options, both involve [renting a car](https://www.tripadvisor.in/RentalCars-g190455-Norway.html):
1) [Bergen](https://www.tripadvisor.in/Tourism-g190502-Bergen_Hordaland_Western_Norway-Vacations.html) to Oslo
Fly Copenhagen to Bergen
Drive Bergen to Oslo over 3 days, stopping along the way for must-see sites and a fjord boat tour
(I’m aware of the high fees for a one-way [car rental](https://www.tripadvisor.in/RentalCars-g190455-Norway.html))
2) Oslo as basecamp
[Rent a car](https://www.tripadvisor.in/RentalCars-g190455-Norway.html) to do day or even overnight trips from there, and skip Bergen.
Norway in a Nutshell with a one-year-old seems confusing and stressful. Having a [car](https://www.tripadvisor.in/RentalCars-g190455-Norway.html) feels much easier to me. But is Bergen too much? Can we see enough of Norway’s beauty by a roundtrip car rental from Oslo?
