I think all relevant information is included in the map.
Because of an referendum in 1992 and the resulting Edinburgh Agreement, Denmark is the only EU-country that is not obligated to adopt the Euro.
It seems likely just Bulgaria will join eurozone soon (2025) and maybe Romania around 2030. The rest of Europe won’t join ever.
EU use to be good, but now it has tons of stupid regulations
In theory all countries except Denmark are obligated but there is no date set, so… 🙂
Adopting euro would have negative effects for Polish economy, majority of Poles is against it also it would require changes in our constitution, which in turn would require 70% majority in the parliament and that’s not going to happen in the foreseeable future
Why is turkey not red? I was there recently, they only accept Euros and dollars now 😏
How is Montenegro allowed to use Euro as its only currency if they are not an EU country?
I don’t know much about economics, but I heard a few lectures about the eurozone and the potential consequences for Poland of joining it. The conclusion is always the same that unless there is some reform of the eurozone, the scenario of Italy will take place within 2 years. It is also presented that the only countries that benefited from the introduction of the euro are the Netherlands and Germany, all the rest only lost. I do not know if it’s true.
Don’t worry guys, we will totally adopt the Euro, we just have to join ERM II first. Small problem though, we seem to have misplaced the ERM II application, but I’m sure they’re here somewhere…. oh well.
