First thing to ask any mormon is why they gave up the polygamy……
Don’t see why not. They’re preaching community, family, and good values and morals.
Do you not think we have enough of our own whackjobs?
Yea. We have freedom of speech in Ireland
They already do. I was in college in the early 2000s. 2 lads called one Friday morning. Me, tattooed with an Ozzfest t-shirt that had a demon giving the middle finger saying goodbye to the lady who spent the night. They were horrified and refused to speak to me. Don’t know why, I’m quite pleasant to deal with.
They have splinter groups apparently that don’t do polygamy.
I mean it’s their only interesting aspect.
Ah yes, the Church of LDS. A religion founded by a convicted fraudster.
I mean, are they getting visas specifically to preach? I would doubt it.
While I don’t like dealing with preachers, if they’re not harassing people ir inciting hatred or whatever, there’s nothing to really get too worked up at.
Why would you discriminate against religious organisations?
You absolutely shouldn’t. I’ve seen them operating in brazil first hand. They are predatory and outright criminal in some of what they do. The fact they never move as missions without someone to report on each other says everything you need to know. The mormon church is a dangerous cult.
There are halfway houses all over utah helping assist the ruined lives they have left in their wake.
Can’t be any worse than the bile the street preachers get away with in Belfast. I’ll take “ever saving god” talk over “homosexuality is an abomination” any day of the week.
Trying to shop the high street in peace.
Did ye ay
In catholic school, these people came every year to preach. They did bring cookies, but you had to win one. They played a few very religious TOP songs and asked us would we sacrifice our lives for random people
Nope. Don’t do it!
Latter Day Saints is a fan-fiction written because they can’t deal with the idea that Jesus wasn’t American, it’s hilarious
Better they be in your neighborhood than mine;)
How about we give them tickets to the Book of Mormon
Leave them to it mate they’re all gonna be so disappointed when they die😂
Why would they need Visas? Most of the mormons I’ve met here were Irish.
Given how many missionaries we produced in this country back in the day (a handful from my own ancestors), I’d chalk it down to karma and let the ludicrousness of their particular brand of invisible friend in the clouds do the heavy lifting.
Fair point, but Ireland is a world leader when it comes preaching religion in other countries.
I don’t agree with their views but it’s a free country friend.
I don’t think we should be denying visas based on the person religious views
I’ve met a few mormons here and overseas, always very polite and never annoying. Their religion might be wacky but they are nice people.
All religions and religious activities in ireland should be heavily taxed, then we will see if they really believe.
Hmmmm, if only there was a way to figure out what the majority religion was, and whether or not it’s Christianity…
If you’re worrying about Mormons you don’t have much to be worrying about
