What it really needs to do is dive under the keel and explode… and break the back on the ship…
Hope it works and they have thousands of them
Russia is beyond fucked once they get these things produced at scale. They can barely stop them now when they are visible. Two feet underwater and they wont even ever be able to see them coming.
To be clear, it doesn’t have to be purely electric drone. Diesel submarines typically have an electric/diesel hybrid where the diesel engines can use a snorkel while at periscope depth. This would extend it’s range significantly.

Not sure why it doesn’t have a single inline propeller like a Virginia Class submarine or why the communication’s mast isn’t part of the dorsal rudder to reduce drag. Or why it has two antennas.
I crap you not I just got into a discussion about how long it would take for us to see submersible drones, a couple days was not on the list
Damn Ukraine you scary
Sleep tight
Send it
I had this dream just last night!! Hat a wonderful, wonderful world!! I have great expectations….
Russia was foolish for putting the naval theater back into play. Now they’re gonna lose their fleet in the region for nothing.
Heck, next they will be bigger enough to send people in to the depths of the deep ocean….
For those Russians from wealthier backgrounds who wanted a military leader position for social status or whatever else, the navy has likely often seemed like a safer choice than being ground or even air, just looking at Russia’s history of invasions the last few decades.
I bet a few will be scrambling to get a job back on shore or back safely in Russia right now.
Large surface navies maybe a thing of the past. Drones destroy very expensive ships easily at a low cost. Subs may only be the only allowable ships left.
Necessity truly is the mother of invention. Ukraine is the embodiment of the famous Mark Twain quote: “It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, but rather the size of the fight in the dog.”
The formed the camera pole like droplet, or Cross section of a dagger it would leave less Visible trail on the water surface.
Also if they make the payload big enough, like a modern Torpedo, the can die beneath the spine of a ship and break it.
