This Country is Ours Platform has issued a press release criticizing the economic, political, social and cultural problems experienced in the country. In the statement, it was stated that Cyprus has been turned into a sub-government by Turkey for many years and that the recent impositions have made the Turkish Cypriots and the country uninhabitable.
In the statement, it was pointed out that the cost of living, price hikes, the depreciation of the Turkish Lira against the foreign currency and the indifference of the authorities to this situation, and it was stated that the people were worried about their livelihood. In addition, the issues of transferring the population and taking away the will of the Turkish Cypriots through citizenship, interventions in elections and congresses, and changing the demographic structure were also emphasized.
The increasing crime rates in the country, traffic accidents, lands sold or donated to foreigners and AKP capital, environmental problems, transfer of public services to the private sector and religiousization policies in education were also among the criticisms.
By addressing these situations, the platform emphasized the necessity of organizing social struggle and set goals in order to fight against these problems, reach the international community and raise all kinds of struggles against social extinction. It was also pointed out that the Turkish Cypriots should be the subject in the solution of the Cyprus problem.

Everybody knows that and it couldn’t be in any other way. The pseudo-state exists only because Turkish troops illegally occupy part of Cyprus. Without Turkey there is no pseudo state.
