Chad dark and brooding forests of Sweden/Finland vs virgin green fields of continental Europe
It is a point snapshot or is it averaged over time?
Iberia can into Middle East ?
There is no country called Bosnia though, only Bosnia and Herzegovina. Just write B&H or so if you feel lazy or lack space.
I’ve heard a joke that Spain has the most Mars looked land on Earth
Spain definitely looks drier than Europe at first sight in Google Earth, but I don’t see Portugal being browner than Italy or Greece.
Portugal it’s definitely not brown.
I would expect countries like Ukraine (70% farmland, most of it grain) to be more yellow, but it depends on what time of year the imagery is acquired.
I recall being rather shocked at how brown Spain was. (The parts I saw.)
Italy & Greece are olive green
Iberia looks like it needs a good wash.
So..where is turkey?
San Marino is just white
How do you get this average colour?
I’d think the whole northwestern Iberia greenery would give you a different average.
I’m high af right now and for some reason read: ‘average hair colour for each country’ and was so confused. In my head I was like: ‘oh yeah this makes sense: when you put blond and brown together you get green right? Wait a second, that doesn’t make much sense. Oh wait black also goes in there.. oh wait that still doesn’t make sense’.
Alright love you all have a nice day
Italy and Greece are the Olive Bros
This is why I wouldn’t want to live in Spain or Portugal, too hot! Even from space you can see the grass is half dead from it. I’m too well adjusted to a cool climate for that, I bitch and moan even during hot days in UK summers. The worst heat I ever experienced was visiting France during the 2003 heatwave, four of us trapped in a tiny camping van with no air conditioning. I even remember seeing somebody pass out from the heat at Disneyland Paris. It ruined the whole trip and we returned home early on the ferry. I think I should just move to Iceland.
terra cotta
That is why many western movies were filmed in Spain.
Problem solved: almost all of us are already green, even before the deadline! Iberia might need a minute or two.
I’m
Pretty sure most of balkans are grey
So we just a desert now?
Perhaps i have too little information available but isnt the average useless for large and diverse patches of land given that two regions of the same country might have very distinct colours but they cancel each other out giving something in between which might be misleading. Yet again, it does seem like most countries are very uniform in which case its probably quite accurate.
Why are Italy and Greece so much greener than the Iberians ?

So Spain is a desert interesting.
