I know there are a lot of questions like this on the sub, but I haven’t found one likely to my situation, so looking foreward to your answers!
I (22f) plan to move to Norway next year for my master studies. The University of Oslo and The University of Bergen both offer great possibilities for me in the field of social studies/work.
If I get admission, I would like to take my boyfriend (24m) with me to Norway and live together. He is a software developer (backend) and has some skills in cyber security. Moving with us would be my two elderly cats, so student housing is not an option.
I would like to study full-time and live of savings I have. Boyfriend would work full-time.
What do you think:
1. What amount of money should we have as a couple monthly? Including rent somewhere in range of max 1 hour to city centre, 2-3 bedrooms, food, etc
2. How much do you pay for cat food, supplies and vet costs in Norway? In Germany I pay around 100€ a month for my two
3. Which city would you recommend more, Oslo or Bergen?
