I recently applied to rent a new apartment. The issue is that I am worried the boiler is too close to the water in bathroom and it’s unsafe. Do you know if Germany has strict safety regulations about these things and if the landlord had to have safety certifications to have the boiler installed there?

You can’t see the boiler in the photo but it is located right above the bathtub (around 50-60cm above the bathtub) in the right corner, it’s exposed, not in a cupboard or any sort of protection from water around it.
Could I ask the landlord to cover it up or to show me some sort of approval to have it placed there?
